______________________________________________________________ Homework/Assignments Daily practice is essential to mastering math concepts…seek help from a classmate or teacher before the next class so you are prepared for the next lesson. Help is available at lunch & after school by appointment. ______________________________________________________________ Textbook work is assessed by this criteria:
______________________________________________________________ Missed Tests/Quizzes: If you are absent for a test, you must write the test/quiz the first day you return to school. A parent/caregiver needs to call the school, send a note or an email (to Mrs. Yamaoka) to excuse your absence. If the absence is a skip, administration will become involved. Rewrites may be available for some chapter tests, provided that the student has demonstrated to the teacher that they have all assignments completed before the test is given. In order to qualify, students must come in for two lunches prior to the rewrite so they can demonstrate their understanding. ______________________________________________________________ Effort Grade N, S, G Effort grades will be assigned as per the school criteria found in the student agenda. To earn a “G” you must meet the following criteria: 1) come to class on-time and prepared 2) no unacceptable absences 3) complete work consistently 4) listen to instructions and treat their classmates with respect 5) on-task and quiet when doing individual work |
